Ariel's Must Have's

Hi Ladies!

I have finally started my blog and I will be updating it weekly with new tips, tricks, products I love, and answering any questions you might have. So please leave your feedback. I know many of you have been wondering what I can't live without and how to do get certain looks or just how to get your make-up to stick.

So here are my must haves! (I literally can't leave my house with out these few products.)

As you can see I have a little bit of everything. I really can't live without MAC shadows. I love the colors and I love the selection. MAC really does have every color....shimmer or matte shadows, white and black and everything in between. When I am looking for new eye shadow's, I like to start there. Besides I like that I can buy the shadow for my palette so I don't have shadows everywhere.

I really really like Mary Kay's Primer, retails for $16.00. It's a mineral-enriched oil free gel that helps your make-up glide on and helps cover up skin imperfections. 

I use a Matte foundation on my oily skin and I like the Mary Kay TimeWise Matte Foundation, which retails for $20.00. I have been trying to use Age Fighting Type Make-Up and Skincare...Since I am aging :( I like this foundation since it stays pretty matte all day on my oily skin and it doesn't break-up on my skin.

I always layer my concealer on top of my foundation...Just don't forget to set it with some powder. By setting it with some powder it also helps blend it into your foundation. I like the Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer, retails for $17.00. It's water resistant, enriched with Vitamin A and B, contains Silica which helps soak of any oil, and can cover up everything. When I mean everything I mean birthmarks, tattoo's, bruises, and moles. Also if you have a gorgeous pimple you need to hide this is the best concealer. Just dab concealer....do not wipe, just dab until its gone :)

I then just powder on a thin layer of Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder, retails for $27.00. It's just enough to mattify my foundation and blend the concealer to my foundation.

I grab my Fix+ and spray my face. This is my favorite thing to do in my regimen! Fix+ is amazing! Everyone and I mean even MEN need to have this! It's infused with Green-Tea, Chamomile, and Cucumber. This is a calming blend for all skin types and adds radiance while setting your Make-Up. I have also placed it on my skin when I have a horrible sun burn and it actually keeps me from peeling. This retails for $10.00.

I then start on my eyes by sweeping a thin layer of MAC's Paint in Bare Canvas. Retails for $17.50. They have other colors you can choose from but I choose Bare Canvas since its the closest to my skin tone. I use this as my primer to keep the eyeshadow from sliding, creasing, and dripping off.

From this point you can place eyeshadow on or you can smear a paint pot across the lid. I love my paint pots when I am feeling lazy or pressed with time and don't have time to do my shadow. These are my three favorite colors:

The next is shadow. I like to keep my eyeshadow organized so I use MAC eye shadows. The pro-palette size shadow's retail each for $11.50 and the custom palette for 15 retails for $16.00 and the palette for 4 retails for $7.00.

I will finish off my eyes with using a MAC Fluidline for my eyeliner. On a daily basis I use either Dipdown or Rich Ground. It's a gel formula that stays put, smudge-proof, and fool proof. In order to use it you will have to buy an eyeliner brush. Fluidline's retail for $15.00.

I always curl my lashes and now on a daily basis use non waterproof mascara. I do this since I have found a mascara that keeps my lashes curled, doesn't flake, and builds really well. The only time I wear waterproof mascara is if I know I will cry or for some reason will be sweating profusely. On a daily basis I use Mary Kay's Love Lash in I Love Black. It retails for $15.00. It's the first mascara that I can truly say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!! I use to be in love with Badgal Lash by Benefit but this mascara has changed everything.

Now when I go to a wedding or gonna go out dancing I use Splashproof by MAC. This one retails for $15.00. It's not clumpy and builds really well. You can literally go swimming with this on and it will not come off nor will you have big ugly raccoon eyes. It stays put. If you do use Splashproof just make sure you are being gently when you are removing the mascara. I will usually take a cotton ball/pad and soak some make-up remover and then place it on your eye for like a minute. Let it soak into the mascara and after a minute start to gently wipe the eye.

Benefits Brow Zing, retails for $30.00. On a daily basis I will usually just use the wax just to keep my brows in place. When I have an event I use both the powder and the wax. I will place the wax first and then fill in with the powder.



To finish off my look I will swipe a gloss or lipstick on or both. My everyday gloss seems to be one the Victoria Secret Glosses. I think I have every flavor and color they sell. I really like how glossy they are and how they are not goopy and thick. It helps that they taste amazing too!
